A sanctuary for pigeons
Columba Sanctuary is a one-person, not-for-profit pigeon sanctuary near York, United Kingdom.
The sanctuary was created to save the lives of feral, homeless, or non-releasable pigeons who would otherwise face euthanasia or a slow death from lack of care.
Alongside rescue, we provide compassionate education about the need for pigeon rescue.
The sanctuary is run entirely by Cath Sharp, who helps pigeons and other birds simply for the love of doing it. She does so alongside a busy full time job through the generous help of donations and volunteers.
The sanctuary is currently unable to take baby birds who need feeding every few hours.
